Pavilion at Haggin Oaks was the site of Christie and Fernando’s wedding. It was a beautiful fall day in October where the sun was shining and wispy clouds floated in the sky. The air was cooled by a light breeze. It is always exciting to shoot at a new venue and this was my first time at Haggin Oaks. When not familiar with a venue, I find myself assessing it and thinking quickly about all the exciting possibilities.
The ceremony took place under a white Gazebo with orchids strewn about the face of it, and a fairway provided the lush, green backdrop. As the time of the ceremony, the sun cast a golden glow in the area almost as if the heavens were shining a light on the stage for these nuptials. Christie’s dress was an amazing gown that was filled with fine detail. Even as a photographer, I pay attention to the vows that are exchanged, because the bride and groom’s faces are radiant with love. Soon it was time for the first kiss. What a beautiful sight!
I swept the couple away on a golf cart to go find all the best spots on the range. As the sun started to lower in the sky, it provided a golden hue in which to shoot this newly married couple. We had 30 minutes for these photos and we maximized them with shots that were framed by the trees and acreage of the course. Since Haggin Oaks is filled with gorgeous views naturally, we didn’t have to stray far to capture some pictures that will serve as a reminder of this beautiful day for an eternity.
It made my heart happy to get to shoot some fantastic images of this couple. I hope you can see all the love and happiness captured on their day. Haggin Oaks, I hope another couple invites me to your lovely grounds to shoot again soon.
